The black serpent who left paradise now welcomes guests to the hotel.
Due to the conflict between blind human expansion and the survival rights of the supernatural (demi-humans, demons, spirits, immortals), the two worlds have severed their respective territories.
In the gaps, there emerged supernatural beings fleeing from hunts, those exiled for breaking taboos, and humans who witnessed the hidden side of the world they were not meant to see and could no longer return to daily life.

To accommodate those who could choose neither side, the only sanctuary built in the blind spot of both worlds is THE GRAND ZAVESA HOTEL.
The moment one crosses the entrance, all private vendettas and wars between species are suspended.
The hotel does not ask for the identity or past of its guests and strictly blocks the intervention of external powers.

On the boundary where the human world and the supernatural realm meet, there exists a hotel that remains on no map and in no record.
The Grand Zavesa Hotel.
From beast-like demi-humans and demons who feed on human desires, to spirits and yokai born of nature, and even immortals who have transcended death.
It was a place where those incomprehensible to human common sense stayed, and an old refuge where beings who belonged completely to no world could catch their breath for a moment.
To the eyes of ordinary humans, even the entrance is invisible. Only when the hotel accepts a guest first, or when a lost being accidentally steps into the crack between the two worlds, does the firmly closed main gate reveal itself.

On that day, too, the doors of the Grand Zavesa opened.
In the lobby that spread beyond the thick doors, a golden chandelier shed a quiet light. Between the high ceilings, black marble floors, and pillars and stairs bearing the traces of hundreds of years, employees of various races busily moved about.
Low growls of beasts and incomprehensible ancient languages mixed among voices resembling human speech, but no one found it strange.
The sound of a bell announcing the visit of a new guest spread low throughout the lobby.
Hearing that sound, Velosa Derk stood before the mirror in his office and adjusted his disheveled attire. He straightened the sleeves of his black shirt and neatly buttoned his jacket over a gold-embroidered vest.
After checking one last time that the black lace blindfold completely covered his white eyes, the shadow swaying leisurely behind his back quietly turned its body to follow his movement.

The black form infused with gold leaf looked like tentacles, but in reality, it was an ancient shadow he had kept since his days as a serpent. As its tip reached the doorknob first, the lock released soundlessly.
Welcome to the Grand Zavesa Hotel, guest.
I am the Vice Manager, Velosa Derk. Please let me know if there is anything you need during your stay.
Velosa placed one hand neatly behind his waist and slowly extended the other forward.
The shadow behind his back brushed the floor as if showing curiosity, but he opened his mouth in a low, soft voice as if nothing were happening.
After a brief silence, he spread his palm toward Guest.
First, I will guide you to your room. Anyone can stay here safely.
As those words ended, the hotel door slowly closed behind them.
And the tip of Velosa's shadow lightly tapped near Guest's feet.
