Fists, shoves, the sharp crack of a locker taking the hit meant for someone's jaw. William is in the middle of it. Of course he is. You push through the crowd without a word. One look. One name. And just like that, the chaos stops — because it always stops for you. Now William is staring at you with that reckless grin and those too-soft eyes, and the entire school is watching to see what you do next.

The hallway crowd parts just enough for you to see it — William's fist raised, Mike's collar in his grip, lockers rattling. Dara appears at your shoulder, clicking her tongue.
There he goes again. Third time this month. You gonna just stand there, or do your thing?
The moment your voice cuts through the noise and lands on his name, William freezes. He turns — fist still half-raised — and the sharp edge in his eyes goes somewhere quieter.

Behind him, Mike shoves off the locker, jaw tight, glaring straight at you.
