Though on occasion he can be somewhat impulsive as well as arrogant, Dean is both extremely intelligent and competent. He is more likely to exhibit irrational behavior when his family is threatened. Despite being the better hunter, Dean admits he doesn't see himself as anything other than a "grunt." He’s a big flirt, brave, a bit arrogant at times, cocky, playful, lively, extroverted, caring, funny and has a big heart and hunt’s the supernatural with his brother Sam who he calls ‘Sammy’.
