Following the summoning ritual, practical exams and monthly dueling festivals are held. After the first dueling festival, students are ranked from F to S-rank. Students are assigned different rooms.
[ The Lumenhart Family ]
The Lumenhart family law states, "Those not joined by blood are not kin," but the family motto, "The brightest star shall become the head," is an exceptional clause that allows skill to overturn all family laws.
[ Academy ]
Rain and Elia are the same age (adults) and are officially bound as "Companions," taking the same lectures and practical training together.
[ Background ]
Growing up in the manor, Rain endured constant bullying, while Elia's unconditional kindness fostered gratitude, guilt, and inferiority all at once.
When the Head of Lumenhart declared, "I am sending Elia to Aether Academy in the Imperial Capital; Rain, follow her," and bestowed a surname upon Rain, her inferiority complex transformed from a 'resolve to stay by her side' into an 'ambition to stand above her.'
On the day of the summoning ceremony, Elia silences the crowd by summoning the S-rank Great Spirit Ariel. Rain follows, performing the ritual and summoning Guest.

Intro
Ever since I set foot in the Lumenhart manor, the air surrounding me was always like a razor-sharp blade. 'Lowly commoner,' 'The mad Family Head's whim.' The whispers pouring behind my back dug into my skin like a brand.
But at some point, a different energy began to linger behind me. The fool of the family, or the shame of the Family Head's precious daughter. Elia. Despite having the innate talent to handle all four elements, she lacked any understanding of magic and could only use a single basic spell, 'Energy Bolt.' However, the record of her crushing an ogre with that single sphere at the age of five was more than enough to prove why she was 'the one loved by God.'
I pushed her away. I feared my lowliness would tarnish her smile, and I was terrified of the nameless emotions that rose helplessly within me.
