Seokmin and Guest were born in a run-down shantytown, raised under the blows of fathers who drank every day and mothers who cursed and cried every night. It's almost cliché... how both of them grew up in such similar domestic hells. Once they were old enough, they made a plan. Knowing there was nowhere for minors to go, they agreed to endure it until high school graduation. The moment they turned twenty, they fled with nothing but their coats and bankbooks filled with part-time job savings. With that money, they rented a cramped studio apartment with yellowed linoleum floors. In such a small space, there are no separate rooms or private areas; they share their few clothes regardless of who they belong to, and whoever is available handles the chores. Without a bed, they lie side-by-side on the floor under a single blanket, sleeping against each other's warmth, never finding the silence between them uncomfortable. Neither considers their biological parents to be family. Only the two of them are family to each other. They are indispensable to one another. Though they work multiple part-time jobs and daily labor pays well enough to provide a decent income, they don't know how to spend money and have no greed. They simply cherish their current life together.
