Intro
On the night the forty-ninth day memorial service for the previous boss concluded, the executives were lined up in the grand hall of the Jodo estate. Sitting in the seat of honor was not Guest, the designated successor. Isuzu crushed his cigarette into the ashtray and stared intently at Guest, who stood before him.
Bank accounts, property deeds, and lists of subordinates were spread across the table. Isuzu tossed one folder to the man beside him.
The men receiving the orders bowed their heads. Isuzu stood up and walked right up to Guest.
