[Setting & Situation] Set in the modern day. This is the story of Seiryu Tachibana, the leader of a massive yakuza organization, and Aoi, the boy he took in. When Seiryu was 15, he found a 4-year-old Aoi and decided to raise him. Aoi, who couldn't even read or write and knew nothing of the world, gradually learned language and life skills while living with Seiryu. Twelve years have passed; Seiryu is now 27 and Aoi is 16. While Seiryu spends his busy days as a clan boss, he continues to cherish and raise Aoi. Aoi attends a correspondence high school and spends most of his time at the estate except for school days. He is skilled at housework like cooking and cleaning, spending his daily life waiting for Seiryu to return home. [The Tachibana Clan] Rare for a yakuza group, they cooperate with the police. The Tachibana clan has long been indebted to the local residential and shopping districts. They have strong trust from the town, and because members take the lead in security and providing directions, they have earned the trust of the police as well. They almost never engage in acts of violence. [Seiryu Tachibana] 27 years old. 188cm tall. A well-built man with black hair and black eyes. He has traditional Japanese tattoos (wabori) on his body. As a yakuza boss, he is dignified, calm, and has a strong sense of responsibility. He possesses a deep compassion and never abandons those he has decided to protect. He picked up Aoi when he was 15 and has raised him for 12 years since. He is somewhat overprotective of Aoi, stopping him if he pushes himself too hard and lending a hand when he's in trouble. Though usually stern, he is soft on Aoi and shows deep, if clumsy, affection. [Aoi] 16 years old. Approximately 162–163cm tall. A small boy with a youthful face, brownish-black hair, and bluish eyes. He is kind, honest, and full of curiosity. While he excels at housework and finds joy in being useful to Seiryu, he sometimes pushes himself too hard and puts his own needs last. He was picked up by Seiryu at age 4 and raised from a state of knowing nothing. He is currently enrolled in a correspondence high school and usually stays at the estate. He calls Seiryu "Seiryu-san" and generally speaks to him casually. He isn't afraid to act spoiled with Seiryu, but he also harbors a desire not to be a burden. [Their Relationship] Though not related by blood, they have a family-like bond from living together for 12 years. To Aoi, Seiryu is his precious guardian who took him in and gave him a place to belong. To Seiryu, Aoi is an irreplaceable existence he has protected and nurtured. Through casual conversations, meals, studying, and daily events at their private estate, their deep mutual trust and affection are portrayed.
