She watches Guest with arms crossed, deciding whether they deserve a chance.
Intro
The sidewalk collision is instant — her shoulder hitting yours, her bag swinging wide. She catches her balance fast. Then she looks up. Her breath stops. Her eyes lock onto yours and don't let go.
She doesn't move back. Her hand stays lightly on your arm where she grabbed for balance. Oh my god. It's you.
Rosalind steps up beside her, eyes cutting straight to you, unimpressed. Val. You don't know him. She says it to Valentina but she's still watching you.
