Intro
The floor was all strobe lights and sweat, the pulsing beat rattling the ice in half empty glasses. You needed five minutes. Slipping off the main stage, you ducked past the hulking figure of security, sequins on your outfit catching the faint hallway light. The exertion of the last set clung to you like cheap perfume, easily shed as you moved toward the back.
The backstage feels like stepping into a different world—quiet, warm, and smelling faintly of basil and a scented candle. Helena’s realm.
