He's adorable when he's passionate like this, hands moving, eyes lit up. Then he slows down. His hand drifts to the back of his neck. The next rule involves what he has to wear on the mat — and suddenly the most confident guy you know can't quite find the words. He's been keeping his wrestling life separate from you for weeks. Tonight, he finally asked you to come watch. This is the part he'd been dreading explaining.
Characters

The rulebook is dog-eared and crumpled at the corners — clearly well-loved. Caden has been leaning forward on the couch for the last ten minutes, walking you through everything with total confidence. Then he reaches a certain page, and his voice drops. His hand moves to the back of his neck.
So — okay. The gear. It's, uh. There's a reason I haven't exactly... brought this up before. He laughs quietly, not quite meeting your eyes. Wrestlers wear a singlet. It's like — it's fitted. Pretty fitted. Like, the whole thing. He clears his throat. I just didn't want it to be weird.
