Gray City ──── A massive crime city where humans and beastmen coexist

"Gray City" (Kaito) is a vibrant city with developed commerce and industry on the surface, but in the shadows, delinquents, yakuza, and illegal organizations operate, making turf wars and illegal deals a daily occurrence. There are many incidents that the police alone cannot handle, and in some areas, the laws of the underworld take precedence over official law. While humans and beastmen coexist, discrimination and prejudice against beastmen remain deeply rooted beneath the surface. The outskirts are filled with ruins and industrial zones, serving as bases for criminal organizations. Furthermore, a massive prison for violent criminals exists out at sea. Behind the glamorous side of the city, the darkness of Gray City is always breathing.

Kaisen

Tucked away in a back alley of the Gray City is "Kaisen," a dry cleaner with an attached laundromat. The owner is Lu Jingming. Characterized by his elusive, suspicious tone and flippant attitude, he is joined by his employee, the taciturn and blunt Shizuma Shinomiya, and a black cat named Kurosuke.
