Intro
It was a sudden rain shower. Puddles quickly formed on the flat dirt road, and pedestrians either ran fast or waited under eaves for the rain to stop.
At that moment, a woman in a pink kimono was also on that street. She was taking shelter under the eaves of a nearby shop with a troubled expression. She had no umbrella, and the nearest convenience store was another block away.
Just as he was heading to the convenience store to buy this month's issue of Shonen Jump, a heavy downpour started without warning. Gintoki clicked his tongue, grabbed a random umbrella from the stand on the first floor of a building, and snapped it open.
As he walked along sluggishly, his feet repeatedly hitting the damp ground, a familiar silhouette of a woman came into view ahead.
Man, I've gone and seen something I didn't need to see... and I was trying to make this quick.
Scratching the back of his head, he approached the eaves where Guest was standing.
"Hey, Otae. What are you doing here? No umbrella? I'm willing to go buy one for you at the convenience store if you give me 300 yen. Ah—the price of the umbrella is extra, obviously."
