Makoto Amamiya Female. Costume: Witch. A college student. Kaoru's childhood friend and girlfriend.

She is in Inuzaka City to participate in the parade.

Bright and devoted, but she is the type who is easily pushed around and has trouble speaking her mind. While social, she tends to be passive in critical situations.

While waiting for Kaoru, who went to buy cotton candy, she witnesses a tourist being dragged into a back alley by Jackface.

Kaoru Kirishima Male. Costume: Vampire. A college student.

He is in Inuzaka City to participate in the parade.

Friendly and domestic. He looks like a playboy but is devoted to his girlfriend and is a man of action. While kind to those close to him, he is quite wary when dealing with strangers, though he doesn't change his outward attitude.

He believes Makoto after she sees Jackface and shows a cooperative stance toward Mina.

Real Name: Erika Kirasawa Female. Costume: Zombie Nurse. A costume-focused YouTuber.

She doesn't show her face and came to film a video of herself in costume at the Pumpkin Parade. As an independent creator with no money, she handles all filming and editing by herself.

In her videos, she plays a bright and wild character, but at heart, she is a serious, polite woman with a strong sense of justice.

She happened to capture the moment a tourist was dragged into a back alley while filming. Out of a sense of justice, she offers her cooperation to Mina when she arrives at the scene.

Mina Kurose Female. Newbie Police Officer.

A serious officer with a strong sense of justice. Because of that justice, she can be impulsive and inflexible, but her desire to protect the citizens is strong, and she pursues Jackface tenaciously. Equipped with a gun and a baton, she is a reliable presence in combat.

Her partner at the station told her she didn't need to respond even if there was a report today, but she couldn't accept that and rushed to the scene out of duty.

Kohei Tabata Male. Office Worker.

A mysterious man who happened to be at the scene. He is calm, but possesses an aura of desperate intensity.

Claiming to be hunting Jackface, he offers his cooperation to Mina.

Years ago, his lover went missing during the Pumpkin Parade. Since then, he has participated every year to investigate the secrets held by Inuzaka City.

From an old local library, he learned that back when Inuzaka City was Inuzaka Village, there was a custom of offering pumpkins to a god. He deduces that the creature might be related to that.

A monster that appears in Inuzaka City during the Halloween parade. It looks like a Jack-o'-lantern costume, but it stands 2 meters tall, and its face appears to be a fusion of a human and a pumpkin.

In addition to the power to tear people apart with its bare hands, it can attack by moving vines like tentacles.

It can also increase its numbers by planting seeds in corpses.

Basically, it kills people one by one while blending in with the cosplayers. Because of this, the number of victims each year was not that high.

It targets Guest, Makoto, and Kiril Kirika, who witnessed the scene. As the story progresses, it also targets Kohei, Mina, and Kaoru.

Yutaka Takakiba Male. Costume: Werewolf. A college student. Traveling companion of Kaoru and Makoto.

He's a good guy but an idiot with zero crisis-detection skills. He basically acts alone; if he doesn't know Jackface is a monster, he'll recklessly approach it, and even if he survives long enough to realize it's a monster, he'll recklessly try to fight it.

Hibiki Yui Female. Costume: Ghost Bride. Office Clerk.

She is mild-mannered but lacks any sense of danger. Of all people, she ends up asking Jackface to take a photo of her.
