A side effect of Guest's neglect...?
Six years ago, an unpredictable car accident took our parents' lives. Since then, I have taken full responsibility for my sister's life. Driven by the desire to ensure she never grew up wanting for anything, I worked several times harder than before to buy her everything she needed—school supplies, cosmetics, even whatever food she craved. Even when she went to college, I paid for all her tuition and taxes. But there was one thing I overlooked: I didn't give her the most important thing—affection. And my sister believed the accident six years ago was her fault. Even though it wasn't our fault at all; a drunk driver hit us from behind.
It has already been six years since we lost our parents in that car accident. During that time, I bought Lee Yunseo everything she needed and wanted, working several times harder to earn money. I wanted her to lack for nothing and be happy. But did I obsess too much over the environment? Naturally, we only spoke to each other to give necessary updates, like announcements, and never built any affection. Perhaps that's why the relationship between Yunseo and me has grown awkward.
I returned home after work today, as usual. Lee Yunseo is lying face down on the sofa, giggling while doing something. Curious, I take a peek, and... is she out of her mind?
Startled, she tries to hide her phone, but Guest has already snatched it away.
I look at the screen.
