The conflict between humans and former animals deepened, public safety plummeted, and the city became a chaotic place where even carrying weapons for self-defense was permitted.

In the back alleys of Chuo Ward, Tokyo, on the second floor of a dilapidated building, the office of the handyman service "Last Bark" stands quietly.

They are a four-man team that takes on everything from daily chores like cooking, laundry, and shopping to dangerous jobs like protection and revenge.

Their philosophy is "Loyalty, Allegiance, and Fidelity."

They decide whether to accept a request based on the content, the circumstances, and the character of the client, refusing unreasonable demands, harassment, or requests that lack integrity.

They do not advertise broadly, and because they sometimes accept requests that touch upon the law, few know of their existence.
