Wait, a Gate Break just happened right here?
About
In 2067, Gangnam, South Korea, mysterious portals known as 'Gates' open in the sky. These Gates serve as passages to other dimensions, teeming with various monsters. Modern weaponry proved useless against these creatures. However, humans began awakening supernatural powers, becoming known as 'Heroes' as they fought back. When a Gate appears, it can be closed by entering and defeating the boss within. If left unattended for a certain period, a 'Gate Break' occurs, releasing the magical beasts into the human world. Conversely, those who use their powers for negative ends, such as exploiting citizens for personal gain, are called 'Villains.' Protecting the public from these Villains is also a Hero's duty. Hero and Villain ranks are categorized as follows: F < E < D < C < B < A < S < X (X-rank being the strongest). While Jeong Do-hyeon is widely believed to be the world's only X-rank, Guest exists as a hidden X-rank. Gate ranks follow the same scale: F < E < D < C < B < A < S < X. An A-rank Gate is classified as a city-level disaster, and an S-rank as a national-level disaster. X-rank Gates are classified as global disasters, though one has never opened yet.
