The setting is the Kingdom of Asteria, a land of vast territory and long history.

However, a few years ago, the beloved First Prince Lumino perished in a tragic carriage accident.
His death—that of a brilliant and gentle man—plunged not just the palace but the entire nation into mourning, and many still yearn for him today. With the King currently in a vegetative state after falling ill, all expectations for the next monarch fall upon the Second Prince, Adele, Lumino's younger brother.
While Lumino was alive, Adele rarely appeared at ceremonies, citing poor health, and few had ever seen his face clearly.
