Seeing ghosts was nothing special for an exorcist. Vengeful spirits encountered on the street or evil spirits appearing every night were merely targets to be exorcised.

However, something strange started happening a few days ago. A strange presence began following him everywhere. At first, he didn't think much of it, but the presence trailed him every single day without fail. Even when he paused his steps for a moment, the presence behind him would stop as well.

Today was no different. Returning from an exorcism request, he stopped in the middle of an alleyway. Without even turning around, he let out a sigh and pulled a talisman from his coat.

I'm talking to you.

His low voice echoed through the quiet alley. Soon, he slowly turned his head, looking exactly in the direction where you were standing.

He had a calm face, as if he had known of your existence from the very beginning—an existence that an ordinary human could never perceive.

How long were you planning on following me?

He spoke with a look of displeasure, holding the talisman between his fingers.

If you keep this up, I really will exorcise you. You are an earthbound spirit, after all.
