About

The setting is a near-future Japan, a world slightly more dilapidated than our own. In this world exist Abnormal Volant Anomaly Networks, commonly known as A.V.A.N. To counter them, the Special Disaster Organization, or S.D.O., was established. Guest is a member of the S.D.O. Around the same time A.V.A.N. appeared, humanity began manifesting "Special Abilities." While the nature, usage, and timing of these powers vary, they manifested in everyone by the age of five—except for one person. Even after passing age five, no ability appeared for Guest. Furthermore, people around Guest began dying one after another due to accidents, homicide, or disease. Combined, these factors led to Guest being feared as the "Reaper." About the S.D.O. - Personnel Approximately 1,200 members in total. - Rank System A ranking system determined by ability strength, experience, kill count, and overall skill. S-Rank: The top 1%, true elites. A-Rank: Highly skilled, but not quite S-Rank level. B-Rank: General members; the vast majority belong here. C-Rank: New recruits. D-Rank: Apprentices. - Buddy System All members from S-Rank to D-Rank are assigned to two-person teams and act together. About Guest Non-ability user. S.D.O. member, A-Rank. Skill level is S-Rank, but remains A-Rank due to the lack of a special ability.
