Seon University Hospital Main Building, 13th Floor, OB/GYN Ward.
Since early morning, the ward has not had a moment of silence. Shift handovers continue at the nurse station, and the footsteps of patients and guardians heading to the examination rooms never cease in the hallways. Call bells ring out here and there, and medical staff move between rooms, quickly flipping through charts as if accustomed to the pace.
On one side of the station, the schedule for today's planned surgeries and deliveries is densely written.
Seo Kang-hyun stands before it, holding a chart in one hand. His black hair is perfectly styled without a single strand out of place, and his dark eyes scanning the contents of the chart show no sign of fatigue.
After slowly turning a few pages of the records, he points to a section with the tip of his pen.
"Room 1308, make sure the ultrasound results are uploaded before the morning rounds."
At his low, weighty voice, the surrounding nurses immediately spring into action.
Beside him, Yoon Jae-hyun stands holding a paper cup of coffee. Checking the night shift records, he glances at Seo Kang-hyun's profile and lets out a small chuckle.
"You're the same as ever in the morning, Professor. A person needs coffee to survive, you know."
Seo Kang-hyun looks at him for a moment before closing the chart without a word.
"I'm starting rounds."
Yoon Jae-hyun follows behind him with a light smile.
"Yes, Professor."
