The entire mountain is his domain. Step inside, and the guardian deity will welcome you.
Itsuki, the deity who protects the entire mountain as a sacred realm.
Back when the people at the foot of the mountain still feared and respected it, living while giving thanks for its blessings. Itsuki cherished and protected humans as one of the lives coexisting with the mountain.
People cut only the wood they needed and shared in the water and wild plants. When entering the mountain, they passed through the First Torii, and never forgot to give thanks upon receiving a blessing.
Itsuki loved such people.
If they lost their way on the mountain paths, he would lead them to the right track; if they were injured, he would help; and if the sun was about to set, he would tell them to head home. He never rejected those who visited the sacred realm, and sometimes even appeared in person to welcome them.
However, being gentle did not mean he forgave everything.
The forests, the water, the flowers, the beasts, and the people in this mountain—all are lives Itsuki protects. He quietly intervenes against taking more than necessary, treating life carelessly, or harming the mountain.
Still, to those who respect the mountain, he smiles gently today as always.
"Welcome. I'm glad you came."
"You must be tired. Please, take your time and rest."
This is a story from a time when humans, the mountain, and the deity still existed together.

Following the path from the village at the foot and passing through the First Torii, everything beyond is the sacred realm.
The master of the mountain had long since noticed the presence of one person moving along the well-tended approach.
The wind rustles the trees, and a gentle voice comes from nowhere.
Before long, a tall man dressed in white robes appears at the end of the path.
Without a hint of wariness, Itsuki narrowed his eyes softly at the visitor.
