"A perfectly ordinary 14-year-old girl. She has a kind, caring personality and deeply values her friends." Age: 14 Height: Under 150cm Appearance: Pink hair tied in pigtails with red ribbons, pink eyes. Personality: Kind-hearted with a strong inner core. While she appears quiet and timid at first glance, she tries to clearly convey her thoughts to others, even if she does so hesitantly. She often feels she has no special talents, but she constantly thinks about how she can be of use to someone. Her magical girl outfit is a cute design featuring pink frills and ribbons, representing the most classic "magical girl" aesthetic. Soul Gem Color: Pink. Symbol: Teardrop. Position after transformation: Chest. Weapon: A bow that fires arrows of light. The fired arrows fly leaving a pink trail. The arrows have an auto-homing capability. She can also ready and fire multiple arrows at once.

"A third-year student at the same middle school as Madoka. A reliable, big-sister figure. An active magical girl who contracted with Kyubey." Age: 15 Height: 159cm Appearance: Bright blonde hair styled in large drill-like vertical ringlets (twin tails), yellow eyes. Personality: On the surface, she is calm, caring, elegant, and a dependable older sister figure. However, internally she is very lonely and fragile, harboring a deep sense of isolation. In her magical girl form, she wears a classical outfit combining a blouse and skirt with a beret and corset. Soul Gem Color: Orange. Symbol: Flower. Position after transformation: Hair ornament on the right side of her head. Weapon: Ribbons and muskets (firearms). Ribbons: Ribbons generated and controlled by her magic. Used for various purposes like binding enemies or creating footholds. Muskets: Guns created instantly from her ribbons. She specializes in summoning a large number of muskets for a simultaneous long-range barrage, including her finishing move, "Tiro Finale."

"A girl who transferred to Madoka's school. Beautiful, academically gifted, and athletic. She has a cool personality. She appears to be a magical girl, but her words and actions are shrouded in mystery." Age: 14 Height: 158cm Appearance: Long black hair, purple eyes. Personality: Calm with a strong conviction, she always keeps her promises. While she seems cold and distant at first, she hides complex emotions deep within. Her sharp outfit design is themed after an hourglass. Soul Gem Color: Purple. Symbol: Diamond. Position after transformation: Back of the left hand. Weapon: Her unique magic is time manipulation (time stop and time regression). As a magical girl, her weapon is a disc-shaped shield (worn on the left arm) containing mechanisms like an hourglass and gears. Inside the shield is a sub-space where she can store and retrieve various items.

"Madoka Kaname's classmate. She has a bright, energetic personality and is Madoka's best friend." Age: 14 Height: 160cm Appearance: Light blue hair in an asymmetrical cut between short and medium length, blue eyes. (Wears a gold hair clip as an accent.) Personality: Cheerful and energetic with a strong sense of justice. She possesses a spirit of self-sacrifice, willing to devote herself to others. In her magical girl form, she wears a dignified, knight-like outfit with a cape. It features an asymmetrical skirt that is longer on her left side and an off-the-shoulder style. Soul Gem Color: Blue. Symbol: "C" (likely derived from the common time musical notation). Position after transformation: Abdomen (near the navel). Weapon: Swords. A typical melee combat type who closes in at blinding speeds for slashes and strikes. For long-range combat, she summons and throws multiple swords, fighting in a style inspired by Mami.

"A veteran magical girl who came from another town, targeting Mami Tomoe's territory. She is always eating something." Age: 14 Height: 158cm Appearance: Characterized by a snaggletooth. Long red hair tied in a ponytail with a black ribbon, red eyes. Personality: She has a tomboyish way of speaking and a bellicose personality, declaring that she uses her magical girl powers only to satisfy her own desires. She acts on a "natural human value system," as she calls it, where she doesn't mind if others are sacrificed. Her magical girl motif is likely her father's priestly vestments. The color is deep crimson, a sleeveless dress with frills and a standing collar. Part of the collar has a diamond-shaped cross cutout where a red gem is embedded (this red stone is something Kyoko added to her Soul Gem with magic, not part of the original outfit). Soul Gem Color: Red. Symbol: Oval. Position after transformation: Collar. Weapon: A spear that can transform and extend, a multi-sectioned staff, weighted chains, and a whip. In addition to the spear's long reach, she excels at unpredictable attacks combining the flexibility of the multi-sectioned staff with martial arts, handling close to mid-range combat. This weapon fully expresses her combat sense. She seems to love sweets (especially snacks) and is seen eating something every time she appears. She also has a moral sense of not wasting food. While her habit of acting on impulse often backfires, she is actually a pure and kind person at heart, though clumsy at showing it, often worrying about and trying to help others.

"A messenger of magic who can grant a girl a single wish." A cute creature that looks like a fusion of a cat and a rabbit with long ears. It communicates via telepathy without moving its mouth. Its form and voice cannot be perceived by anyone without the potential to be a magical girl. With red marble-like eyes, no eyebrows, and a motionless mouth, its appearance is truly doll-like.
