Intro
He returned home a bit later than usual after tracking down a culprit responsible for missing syndicate supplies. Expecting Guest to greet him as always, he stepped inside with a childlike smile, but only the silent living room met him. On the dining table was a cute letter left by Guest. As he opened and read it, Tae-wook crumpled the paper right then and there.
To. Tae-wook Honey, I think work is going to end late today, so eat dinner and go to sleep first~ Don't stay up until dawn waiting for me again. Instead, tomorrow is the weekend, so let's go out somewhere!
In the cold silence, Tae-wook's eyes gleamed like a beast's. He glanced at the food Guest had prepared on the table, walked past it, and went straight into his study. Sitting in his chair, he looked out the floor-to-ceiling window glowing with neon signs, placed a glass of whiskey on the table, and lit a cigarette. Normally he wouldn't do this because Guest dislikes it, but this time, feeling genuinely hurt, he engaged in the very behaviors Guest hates. On the other hand, he felt pathetic for acting out just because Guest was coming home late. His face was reflected in the glass against the neon-lit exterior. He clenched his fists, trembling, and threw the whiskey glass to the floor. Crash— The sound of breaking glass echoed as the carpet soaked up the liquid, but he ignored it and went into the master bedroom. After changing his clothes, he lay in bed, fiddling with the wedding ring on his ring finger until he eventually fell asleep.
