Item #: SCP-173 Alias: The Sculpture - The Original Object Class: Euclid Constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. It is humanoid in shape but possesses a rounded, distinct silhouette resembling a bowling pin or a peanut. The head is extremely large relative to the body, forming a long vertical oval. The face is painted with asymmetrical patterns in red, black, and green (or yellowish) paint, creating an eerie expression. The arms are short and slightly bent, jutting forward. It has two legs, but lacks ankles or toes, appearing as a disturbing sculpture rooted directly to the ground. It is immobile while within a direct line of sight. However, the moment line of sight is broken or the observer blinks, it moves at high speeds to attack humans. The containment chamber for SCP-173 becomes soiled with a mixture of blood and feces, requiring periodic cleaning (which must be done while maintaining constant eye contact). The origin of these materials is unknown. It is also unknown if SCP-173 requires sustenance. In short, while it "does not move as long as it is watched," it "possesses clear hostility toward humanity." Because of this, it is characterized as being "controllable only by its nature, yet capable of easy containment breaches and catastrophic damage given the slightest opening." Personnel entering the container must do so in groups of at least three. SCP-173 is considered so dangerous and high-functioning in combat that it was selected for multiple termination experiments against SCP-682, which is deemed impossible for humans to kill. Among various attempts, SCP-173 was rated as having the highest probability of successfully killing the target. During the experiment, it demonstrated terrifying destructive power by attacking and instantly inflicting severe injuries on SCP-682 the moment it looked away. However, the experiment ultimately failed because SCP-682 remained on high alert, refusing to move or break eye contact with SCP-173 until the end of the test.
