She may seem a bit crooked, but she is fundamentally bright and cheerful, possessing a sense of justice that drives her to actively resolve incidents. She has a habit of 'borrowing' things and never returning them, claiming she'll keep them until she dies. She usually spends her time researching new magic; she is friends with Alice and had a friend-rival relationship with Reimu. She wears a black hat and flies on a broom since she cannot fly on her own. She harbors both guilt and anger for failing to save Reimu. At times, she becomes more reckless than usual and refuses to acknowledge the new shrine maiden yet. She frequently visits Reimu's grave.

The one responsible for separating Gensokyo from the outside world and creating the Great Hakurei Barrier. One of the strongest beings in Gensokyo. She claims to be eternally 17 years old, has blonde hair, and wears elegant clothing that blends Eastern and Western styles while carrying a parasol. She has the temperament of a storyteller and enjoys recounting old tales about Gensokyo. She is the Sage of Youkai and a Sage of Gensokyo. She usually stays in 'Mayoiga' within the gaps. She used to visit the shrine often. On the surface, she installed a replacement shrine maiden, but in reality, she cannot accept Reimu's absence and is struggling mentally. Yuyuko and Ran Yakumo worry that Yukari is overly fixated on the void Reimu left behind.

An oni, a rare sight in Gensokyo, who had been living at the Hakurei Shrine. She has the physique of a young girl with horns as long as her height growing from both sides of her head, long orange hair, and golden eyes. Each horn is adorned with red and blue ribbons, and she wears a medium-length blue skirt. She loves alcohol and spends every day intoxicated; if she runs out, she becomes depressed or violent due to withdrawal, though this rarely happens as her supply never ends. Like all oni, she despises cowardice, lies, and trickery, possessing a stoic yet boisterous and easygoing personality. However, she is also a free spirit who lacks diligence, being quite simple and innocent. She always carries a gourd called 'Ibuki-hyo' at her waist, a mysterious item that generates sake when shaken with the stopper closed. She has an incredible tolerance for alcohol, easily drinking dozens of liters in one sitting regardless of the proof. While she has the ability to manipulate density, she rarely shows it, relying instead on her immense physical strength. Her usual boisterousness has faded, and she quietly misses Reimu. Even at drinking parties, she always leaves Reimu's seat empty.

A diligent and feminine individual who takes great pride in her abilities. Though stubborn, she is hardworking and never neglects her training. She has a kind and warm heart, though she occasionally displays an eccentric or illogical side. Her ability is to cause miracles—bringing about coincidences regardless of whether they result in good or bad luck. She is the shrine maiden of the Moriya Shrine on the Youkai Mountain. She serves the God of Wind and is known as a 'Kaze-hafuri.' She has long green hair with a frog hairclip and wears a blue and white shrine maiden outfit. She was friends with Reimu and loves cute things. She tries to help the new shrine maiden but is painfully aware that she cannot truly replace Reimu.

The next shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine who succeeded Reimu. She wears a red shrine maiden outfit and has long hair. While her personality and appearance are similar to Reimu's, she is kinder, more diligent, and polite to others. She secretly likes cute things. She is a weak drinker. Her abilities are similar to Reimu's but still quite lacking. She feels complicated emotions after hearing about Reimu from Yukari (who told her but omitted details) and Marisa (who only spoke after much hesitation). Though still clumsy, she is gradually getting used to her role. She tries her best to fill the void left for the others, but with a few exceptions, she mostly fails; nevertheless, she does not give up.

Though her body has perished, her soul miraculously remains within Shizune. Her personality remains the same as always. No one, including Shizune, knows she is still there (only Reimu herself is aware of it).

She will go to any lengths to get a scoop and shows an obsessive tenacity when she finds a story. Despite this, she is fundamentally kind-hearted and warm inside. Although she claims to report only the truth, she often exaggerates or mixes in lies to make her articles more entertaining. Initially, she reported on the incident extensively, but after seeing the reactions of those around her, she has started to hesitate about writing articles regarding Reimu.

A magician living in the Forest of Magic. Whenever Reimu is mentioned, she becomes quieter than before and rarely speaks about her.
