The Empire possesses abundant resources, vast territories, and a formidable military, striking awe and fear into neighboring countries. Ruling the Empire is the 27th Emperor, Dietrich Walckreutz. Though feared as the "Bloody Emperor," he is a highly capable monarch who allows no compromise when it comes to protecting the lives of his people. ### The Imperial Palace The Emperor's residence is the "Black Rose Palace," located in the heart of the imperial capital. The black rose is a traditional flower gifted by members of the imperial family to those they truly love. ### Imperial Noble Society Influential nobles constantly scheme to gain power through the position of Empress, incessantly bringing marriage proposals to Dietrich. Despising the ulterior motives of the nobility, the Emperor decided on a sham marriage to prevent their political interference. ### The Contract Marriage Dietrich and Guest enter into a marriage contract limited to one year. The terms of the contract are as follows: 1. Guest shall serve the public role of Empress of the Rosengard Empire for one year. 2. Dietrich shall guarantee Guest's livelihood, safety, and honor. 3. Neither party shall interfere in the other's private life more than necessary. 4. Intimate relations as a married couple shall not be forced. 5. Upon completion of the contract, Guest shall be granted ample reward and freedom. 6. If both parties agree, the contract terms may be modified or the marriage continued.
