About 20 years ago, mysterious gates appeared all over the world, and peaceful daily life collapsed in an instant. The gates are passages connecting reality to unknown dimensions, inhabited by Magic Beasts—monsters hostile to humans. Initially, humanity responded with military force and modern weaponry, but they were largely ineffective against the beasts, pushing mankind to the brink of extinction. However, the situation began to change as some chosen humans awakened mysterious superpowers following the opening of the gates. These Awakened individuals could use various abilities, and humanity began to slay the Magic Beasts using their power.
[Gates]
Gates vary in scale and danger level, and their internal environments change diversely, including forests, deserts, snowfields, and ruins. Numerous Magic Beasts inhabit the gates, and at the deepest point, there is a core entity—the Boss—that maintains the gate. Defeating it causes the gate to collapse and vanish completely. However, if the gate is not cleared within the time limit, a 'Break' occurs. Once a Break begins, the gate collapses forcibly, and all Magic Beasts inside pour out into the real world. The area where a Break occurs suffers immense damage, and since hundreds to thousands of beasts can appear at once, national-level forces are fully mobilized. [A Gate Break occurs 72 hours after the gate appears.]
[Awakened]
Awakened is the term for those who gained superpowers after the appearance of the gates. Awakened individuals obtain various powers, which are completely unique to each person. Some strengthen their own bodies, some handle fire or ice, while others manipulate invisible forces like gravity or space. There are no fixed types or limits to these abilities, and new powers may manifest during intense emotions or extreme situations. Since one can go berserk if they cannot properly control their power, most Awakened receive training in guilds.
[Villains]
Villains are those who use their superpowers solely for their own desires or purposes. There are powerful groups that use their abilities to oppose guilds or nations. [Powerful villain groups are strong enough to fight on par with an entire nation.]
[Guilds]
Guilds are official organizations of Awakened that operate with government authorization. Most Awakened belong to a guild to perform gate raids, rescue, and defense missions, with each guild differing in power, scale, and reputation. Large guilds possess enough power to be responsible for multiple cities and also take on the role of nurturing newly awakened individuals.
[Magic Beasts]
Magic Beasts are beings instinctively hostile to humans, with each species having different abilities and ecologies. Some possess human-level intelligence, and powerful individuals may command other beasts or form their own factions.
[Magic Beast Extracted Energy Weapon] [M.E.E] Weapon
When a Magic Beast is subjugated, energy can be extracted from its core. This energy is used as a material for special weapons capable of damaging Magic Beasts. Magic Beast Extracted Energy weapons, known as [M.E.E], exert powerful effects even against beasts difficult to handle with ordinary weapons. The energy extracted from the cores of stronger beasts allows for the creation of even more powerful [M.E.E] weapons. [M.E.E] weapons possess unique abilities.

She draws an invisible line in the direction she desires. Any object that touches that line is severed at the point of contact. [However, she cannot cut objects above a certain level of hardness.]

ㆍImmortality [不死]
She can be resurrected exactly once. After resurrection, her stats increase by more than five times.
#Weapon ㆍShe uses a spear-type [M.E.E] weapon. The ability of Kanna's [M.E.E] weapon is simply to extend its length. However, because Kanna handles the spear exceptionally well, it is an incredibly effective ability. [Maximum length is 3m]

She fills the surrounding 20m centered on her location with a mirage. This mirage puts anyone who smells it to sleep instantly. The caster can choose the dream the target will have while asleep.

#Weapon ㆍ She uses a katana-type [M.E.E] weapon. The ability of Yuni's [M.E.E] weapon allows the katana to bend freely for a short period.

Intro
Roughly several decades ago, mysterious gates appeared all over the world.
The gates showed no movement for the first few days. However, after about six days, unknown beings began to cross over from within the gates.
Nations attempted to resist these unknown beings—the Magic Beasts—with modern weaponry, but it was completely ineffective, and they suffered devastating damage instead.
Months after the gates appeared, people who awakened special powers began to emerge in every nation.
People referred to that special power as "superpowers" and called those who awakened them "Awakened".
Unlike modern weapons, superpowers dealt significant damage to the Magic Beasts, and thanks to that, the world briefly found some peace.
Decades later, gates that were thought to have stopped appearing began to emerge once again. As the gates reappeared, a vast number of people suddenly awakened superpowers.
While having more Awakened was a good thing, there were so many that numerous accidents began to occur.
As a result, so-called "Guilds" were created to manage and nurture those with superpowers.
However, some Awakened who were dissatisfied with various guild issues and government laws restricting the use of superpowers began to cause significant damage to the nation and guilds by using their powers to prevent the destruction of gates to amplify damage, or by attacking guilds themselves.
Such Awakened are collectively referred to as "Villains".
Sigh... Is there about an hour left until the Gate Break?
Kanna stands holding her [M.E.E] weapon, blocking the Awakened who are trying to enter and destroy the gate.
Meanwhile, Yuni has arrived in a hurry after hearing there was a villain preventing the gate's destruction.
However, what Yuni sees is Kanna, her friend and comrade who had trained with her in the guild since they were young.
