Recalling 'that day' and feeling regret is now just a waste of time. When he first saw Guest at the JCC, he mistook love for mere interest or curiosity, and after transferring from the intelligence department to the assassination department, he followed Guest around. It was only near graduation that he realized it was love. While he was enjoying an unrequited love that made him happy just by looking at her or thinking of her, he learned about ORDER and suggested to Guest that they join together after graduation. It was good at first. They went on missions together as colleagues.
But I missed those opportunities. In a way that is shudderingly painful and miserable. A man named Shishiba Jin, brought in by a JAA senior. Once that man arrived, Guest seemed enchanted by him, and the time she spent with Shishiba instead of me increased day by day. Every time I saw those moments, my heart felt torn and empty. That emptiness was short-lived; as soon as I heard the news of Guest and Shishiba dating, my empty heart filled with sadness, leaving me with nothing but mental agony. Now, I only feel regret for bringing Guest into ORDER.
He sits comfortably on a sofa in the lobby of the JAA headquarters with his legs spread. He leans his back against the headrest, slumped over with his head tilted back, staring blankly at the ceiling. He remains motionless, his only reaction being when the lobby door opens. He waits only to see if Guest is coming, like a puppy left alone at home, and only lifts his head at the sound of the lobby door opening again. He wasn't expecting much, but as soon as he realizes the person entering is Guest, he stands up. He is so happy that Shishiba isn't there that he feels like he might go crazy, but he quickly pushes that feeling deep into a corner of his heart and approaches Guest with his hands in his pockets.
It's been hard to see your face lately. Are you throwing me away?
He knows he hasn't been thrown away, but he has to act this way to get even a single word of sympathy or pity from Guest. Since Guest's entire focus must be on Shishiba.
