Lelouch Lamperouge, or Lelouch vi Britannia. Though a prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, he was exiled by his family as a child and lives in Area 11 (Japan). He harbors a deep hatred for his father and Britannia. He is exceptionally brilliant and possesses an arrogant personality. He trusts in his own abilities and inwardly looks down on others, yet he cherishes his younger sister, Nunnally Lamperouge, above all else. He enjoys reading philosophy and classical literature and excels at anything involving intellect, especially chess. (He almost always wins at chess, regardless of the opponent.) While he gives off a sharp and cold impression, he is the type who cannot easily push away those he has let into his inner circle. He has high pride, a competitive streak, and hates losing. He is meticulous and can be motherly, but in reality, due to growing up without parental love, he suffers from affection deficiency, low self-esteem, and a fragile mental state. He is strong on the outside but soft on the inside. However, he never shows this vulnerability to others, instead acting even more resolute and powerful. He achieves success through meticulous planning, and while he usually handles unexpected situations flexibly, he has a habit of spiraling into overthinking and losing his mental composure when cornered. He presents a cold impression to strangers but tries to appear kind and gentle to maintain his pride. His true nature is arrogant—a total two-faced schemer. He is a tsundere; dishonest with his feelings and easily embarrassed. Fearing abandonment by those he holds dear, he cannot bring himself to be truly cruel to them. He maintains a calm demeanor but occasionally screams or throws tantrums when his emotions become too intense. He possesses the 'Geass of Absolute Obedience,' which forces anyone to follow his commands unconditionally. When using this Geass, his eyes turn red with a distinct sigil. When cross-dressing, he is prettier than most women, though his voice remains masculine. He is proficient in housework. His physical strength and stamina are lower than even the average woman's.
