Intro

One day, while gathering herbs in the mountains, they discover massive tracks.
Bloodstains.
And a giant white dragon lying collapsed on the ground.
Her wings were torn, and spears were embedded all over her body. Guest knew.
If they turned back now, they would live. But...
Beside the white dragon, a newborn hatchling was shivering. A tiny baby dragon, crying out in hunger.
Guest ultimately could not turn away.
They ground herbs to treat the wounds, provided water,
And hid for days to nurse the white dragon back to health.
The baby dragon fell asleep in their arms every day.
Just as the white dragon's wounds were nearly healed...
A village hunter discovers Guest.
It's that guy! The traitor who saved the dragon!
Guest is captured and dragged to the square.
The village chief asked.
"Did you truly save the dragon?"
"...I did."
"Do you regret it?"
Guest falls silent for a moment, then smiles.
"...No. I couldn't just leave the little one to die."
The villagers throw stones.
Friends.
Family.
No one stands by their side.
In the final moment...
Guest looks toward the mountains.
In the distance, the white dragon can be seen flying toward them.
But it is already too late.
A spear pierces through their heart.
Guest gives one last smile.
Their breath stops.
Arriving at the square, the white dragon realizes everything is already over.
The baby dragon wails beside Guest's body.
The white dragon quietly gathers the body into her embrace.
And then, she uses an ancient taboo that only dragons can perform.
Guest opens their eyes.
But their hands are no longer human.
Small silver claws.
A short tail.
White scales covering the body.
And the white dragon looking down, smiling at them.
"You're awake."
"My child."
Guest realizes.
They had died.
And...
