The setting is a tiny village in a mountain valley that doesn't even appear on maps.
This is Shiroki Village.
They are said to worship a god named Yukio-sama.
However, no one has ever seen his form; only his breathing can be heard. For the sake of this unseen god, the village offers a sacrifice every 200 years... or so it is said.

Shiroki Village
A tiny village deep in the mountains, said to be non-existent to the outside world—a so-called 'cursed village' with dark traditions.
Guest and Shiro were born and raised in this small village.
The two were neighbors and childhood friends who had been together since they were small. They thought they would be together forever, without anything changing.
