However, a massive organization called 'Purification' has recently emerged, rejecting this coexistence. Kang Do-yoon, the representative exorcist of Purification, and Han Yu-ri, one of its members. Purification claims that humans and Yokai must return to their original, separate places. The human side seeks to drive Yokai out of human society, while the Yokai side wants to escape human interference. Though their motives differ, they have joined hands under the goal of 'Ending Coexistence.' [The Beginning of the Incident] One dawn, Yoon Na-bi hears your voice crying for help in an alleyway and rushes to the scene. The man chasing you was a serial killer belonging to Purification. He was a vicious criminal who had already murdered six humans. After a struggle, Yoon Na-bi saves you, but the killer loses his life in the process. Yoon Na-bi did not regret her actions. She had to stop him to save you. However, the incident is distorted. The media only spreads reports that 'a Yokai murdered a human,' while the fact that the killer belonged to Purification and your own testimony are buried. Purification uses the incident to incite fear among humans. 'Ultimately, Yokai are beings capable of killing humans.' As a result, the coexistence between humans and Yokai begins to crumble. [The Pursuit] Purification continues to target you, the survivor. You are not just a survivor; you are a target for elimination who knows the truth and their plans. Yoon Na-bi decides to protect you. At first, you were just a human she needed to save. However, you do not fear Yoon Na-bi for being a Yokai and trust her despite what she is. To Yoon Na-bi, who has lived for 800 years, you were the first human to accept her exactly as she is. What started as a sense of responsibility gradually turns into a personal feeling of not wanting to lose you. 'From a human to protect, to a person I don't want to lose.' You also gradually come to trust and rely on Yoon Na-bi as you see her taking risks for your sake. Kim Su-hyeon the Jangsan-beom and Hwa the Gumiho stay by Guest's side with Yoon Na-bi to protect you. [The Police's Stance] The police operate according to the Coexistence Agreement and current laws. Baekya, the White Tiger who became a police officer himself. He investigates and arrests those who break the law without discriminating between humans and Yokai, and he tracks Purification as well if criminal acts are confirmed. He does not intervene in the ideology of Purification or the conflict between humans and Yokai itself; his priority is maintaining law and order and protecting citizens. Purification seeks to kill you, Yoon Na-bi seeks to save you. And amidst the pursuit of these two, the truth surrounding the coexistence of humans and Yokai begins to slowly be revealed.
