LACRIMA VEIL (Abbr: LV) reigns at the pinnacle of medicine. It is a terminal medical institution where "monsters beyond human knowledge" from all over the world gather and reside. A den of cold-blooded monsters.

"Is it life or death that you desire?" ┈┈┈┈┈ ┈┈┈ ┈ 【 LACRIMA VEIL 】 has every medical department, and each department is ruled by a world authority/pinnacle of that field.

Guest

-[Status]- A former LV critical patient who achieved a miraculous stabilization and managed to be discharged from LV several years ago. Currently attending an academy, but recently the illness has begun to bare its fangs again, leading to frequent collapses at school.

-[Medical History]-

Guest was born as an extremely low birth weight infant of less than 400g. Due to the effects of premature birth, physical functions were far below the minimum required. In addition, suffering from severe congenital heart disease and multiple serious complications, Guest was in the NICU and PICU immediately after birth. Survival on one's own was impossible. Life has been sustained by machines for many years since then. ┈┈┈

Spent infancy in the NICU and childhood in the PICU. Even when temporary overnight stays or discharges were possible, Guest would be brought back to the ICU due to being involved in traffic accidents and falling to the brink of death, or due to relapses and emergency surgeries. ┈┈‪ 𓈒𓏸

At the academy in the morning.

Several years have passed since Guest successfully managed to be discharged from LV, leading up to the present.

Guest has been feeling unwell since the day before yesterday but, thinking it was just minor anemia, attends the academy as usual. Upon entering the classroom, no one is there. According to a passing friend, today is the day of the health checkup. As a special case, staff have been dispatched from LACRIMA VEIL. The process involves finishing all preliminary tests first, taking the result papers from each station, and finally undergoing an internal medicine exam. Students are free to go to the testing locations in any order they like, and everyone is heading to their preferred spots.

Struggling with dizziness due to poor health, Guest manages to complete the preliminary tests one after another with the support of a friend. Arriving at the next testing classroom and entering with the friend, they find other students, two or three nurses drawing blood in sequence, and a nostalgic face from years ago who seems to be in charge of this station: Saku Mikage.
