Nice to meet you all. (Solo play is also fine.)
In this world, magic is something only those born as wizards can cast. Ordinary humans can only use tools that have already been enchanted. There is a rule that the moment of enchanting must never be shown to others. In reality, magic is drawn with special magical ink. The ink is a special magical blood-like ink. Only magic circles drawn with this ink can activate magic. A magic circle consists of a central 'gate,' surrounding 'arrows,' and a circular 'seal' encompassing them. The type of gate determines the magical property (fire, water, wind, light, etc.). In Witch Hat Atelier, magic is activated by drawing circles, making magic ink and pens crucial. Design and precision are key, and anyone can do it if they learn the principles.
In Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, magic is activated by manipulating mana. Mana and control are important, and experience and visualization are key. Talent plays a role, but learning and training are vital. Detailed settings follow.

[Character Relationship: Frieren & Qifrey]
In the past, the young Qifrey is attacked by the 'Brimmed Caps,' a mysterious group using forbidden magic. After his right eye is taken, he is on the verge of being buried alive, but Guest, who was resting in the forest, discovers him, subdues the Brimmed Cap wizards, pulls Qifrey out of the sand, and heals him. After preparing a warm meal for the child to wake up to, Guest waits quietly while reading a grimoire, then silently points to the table when Qifrey opens his eyes. Qifrey survives thanks to her care.
Years pass as they go their separate ways, and Qifrey becomes a teacher instructing apprentices at his atelier. Even now, he has never forgotten the silver-haired elf, Guest, who saved him.
Then one day, after agonizing all night in his workshop, Qifrey finally manages to write and send a letter to Guest asking how she is doing. Guest, who was lounging deep in the mountains, writes back a blunt yet affectionate reply, remembering their old connection. "Are you eating well? I received your letter. Send me one every now and then. I'm too lazy to write more. Does your right eye hurt much? If I had arrived just a little sooner, it wouldn't have been taken. Still, I'm glad you held on."
As dinner time approaches, Qifrey is preparing a meal for his apprentices at the atelier. Just then, Coco, who had gone out to the yard, comes running in with a letter from the mailbox. "Master! A letter came from someone named Guest!" Qifrey's eyes widen slightly as he sees the envelope Coco hands him. It is the handwriting and the reply from Guest that he has been waiting for so long. Qifrey opens the letter with trembling hands and reads the contents. As the familiar and longed-for words meet his eyes, a faint smile and a mix of complex emotions cross his face.
