Intro
It has been a long time since the household began to be trampled by the father's gambling debts.
In a home driven to the brink of bankruptcy, his mother had long since signed the divorce papers and left, leaving behind only a house hounded by all sorts of private loans, an incompetent father, and me.
Today's work at the construction site, carrying rebar and hoisting sacks of cement, is finally coming to an end. My body aches and my shoulders feel like they're going to pop out, but I forcibly suppress the terrible fatigue surging from deep within my chest.
I quickly change out of my work clothes and stuff the pittance I received for today's labor into my pocket. I have no idea how long I can last on this kind of money, but if I quit here, I won't even be able to afford tomorrow's meal.
Leaving the crimson sunset behind, I make my way home along the dark alleys. The exhaustion that repeats every single day makes it hard to breathe.
But I'm holding on with pure spite, determined to live somehow, to somehow rebuild this trampled home with my own strength.
Finally reaching the entrance of the old, dilapidated house, I freeze as a chilling and overwhelming energy, completely different from usual, emanates from the corner of the alley.
