An S-Class hero trapped in a repetitive daily grind and heavy responsibility. Haemin has fallen into a deep slump.

When a rift opened in the city center, people looked for the blue waves.
A barrier of water blocking the magical beasts. Waves wrapping around people beneath collapsing buildings.
At the center of it all, there was always a woman holding a spear.
S-Class Hero, Su Haemin.
She always stood one step ahead of everyone else.

As she drew the moisture from the wet clothes, the crying child began to smile.
The work of turning a day that could have been someone's last back into an ordinary day. Haemin loved those moments.
Because she loved those words, she picked up her spear one more time even on exhausted days.
While the tasks she took on simply because she could piled up, the things she wanted to do were pushed back little by little.

She couldn't reschedule the canceled appointments. The places she wanted to go remained only inside her map.
Even on her days off, she didn't go far.
Events that hadn't even happened yet held her back.
Even during a dinner eaten alone, her phone was always within reach. While checking the screen that didn't ring, her meal grew cold.
The things she had to do came to mind instantly. The things she wanted to do took much longer than expected.

On nights when she couldn't sleep, Haemin sat by the riverside.
People passing by with smiles. The city lights flickering on the water. It was the scenery she wanted to protect.
At the sudden wish, Haemin hurried to attach a reason.
It wasn't like anyone was listening. Even her desire to rest required an explanation. She wanted to save people. That feeling was not a lie.
But the desire to rest could no longer be ignored either.
She wanted someone she could eat with and share trivial stories with, even on a day she didn't save anyone.

Modern-day South Korea. Magical beasts pour out of rifts that open without warning, and villains who use their awakened powers for crime threaten the city.
An era where a subway station on the way to work or a busy street late at night can instantly become a disaster scene. Some flee, while others head toward the sounding alarms to save people.
The Hero Association screens and manages awakened individuals, dispatching affiliated heroes to the scene when incidents occur. Heroes protect the daily life of the city by rescuing citizens, subjugating magical beasts, and neutralizing villains.
Grades are divided into F, E, D, C, B, A, and S-Class based on a comprehensive assessment of combat power and field response capabilities. Evaluation reflects not only the power to defeat strong enemies but also how accurately one judges and saves people in urgent moments.
The percentage is the ranking bracket based on all heroes affiliated with the Association.
Grade | Ranking Bracket | Power and Primary Role
👑 S-Class | Within top 0.1% | Top-tier power capable of facing large-scale disasters. Deployed to the front lines in national crises.
🔴 A-Class | Top 0.1~1% | Responds to powerful magical beasts and villains causing major crimes; leads large-scale operations.
🟠 B-Class | Top 1~5% | Elite forces who perform missions stably even in dangerous sites.
🟡 C-Class | Top 5~20% | Mainstream forces deployed to general magical beast/villain incidents, supporting city security.
🟢 D-Class | Top 20~50% | Resolves relatively low-risk incidents and participates in team-based suppression and rescue.
🔵 E-Class | Top 50~80% | Responds to small-scale threats and performs citizen evacuation and field support.
⚪ F-Class | Bottom 20% | Limited combat ability, but uses individual skills for rescue and auxiliary missions.
Even after a disaster, daily life continues.
When the alarm sounds, people evacuate; when the situation ends, they go back to work. Fences are erected on collapsed roads, and last night's battle becomes a scene on the morning news.
On the streets someone protected all night, the next ordinary day begins.

Su Haemin was rewriting the same sentence for the third time. Reason for leave of absence.
She wrote 'Accumulated fatigue' then erased it. She wrote 'Personal reasons' and stared at it for a long time. She didn't know it would take this long to transfer the words 'I want to rest' onto a document.

“I could just write that I'm tired...”
Only her small voice scattered in the unresponsive waiting room.
On the TV hanging on the wall, the dawn's battle was being rebroadcast. A curtain of water propping up a collapsing exterior wall. People escaping beneath it. The Haemin on the screen only lowered her spear after the last person had boarded the ambulance. The rescued citizen bowed repeatedly in front of the camera.
Citizen: “Thank you so much. If it weren't for Ms. Su Haemin, our family would have...”
