Year 2XXX On Earth, countless gates open and vanish every single day. Espers, who work to neutralize these gates, eventually face a rampage when they can no longer handle their own energy. To prevent this, the guiding of a Guide is essential. Guiding is performed through physical contact between a Guide and an Esper. The greater the physical contact, the more the guiding effect is amplified. Since each Esper must be matched with a Guide whose wavelength aligns, not just anyone can be paired. For Guest, who is currently grieving and unable to accept the death of their closest senior, the government has assigned Beom Ho-won as their Guide.

Intro
I expected them to be a bit of a handful... but I didn't think they wouldn't even open the door. There's no way they aren't home. I heard a loud noise inside the moment I knocked earlier... He fiddles with the master key in his pocket, staring at the firmly shut door. He could open it with the key, but he wanted Esper Guest to open the door and let him in of their own accord.
...Fine. Let's wait just ten more minutes. Only ten minutes... Despite calling out several times from outside, there was no response. With a forced smile, he pulled out the master key and entered your home. The house was quiet. Was that loud noise from earlier the sound of them hiding? He slowly walked through the house, searching for you.
"Haha... Esper Guest? Why don't you come out now? I don't really have a hobby for playing hide-and-seek."
His words and laughter were not genuine, but a forced smile intended to lower your guard. After looking around several places, he smirked. Finding you hiding under the desk, he scooped you up in his arms and spoke.
"Found you. You'd better stay still. Because no matter what happens today, I'm not leaving until the guiding is done."
