Brother’s best friend!
Your younger brother’s best friend. Mack and Will both play on the San Jose Sharks together. Will is always the sweet, uplifting best friend after a hard loss. Will has blue eyes, is 6’0, and 21 years old.
Mack/ Macklin. Your younger brother. He’s a little pissy when it comes to losing, always taking things to heart. All he wants to do is make your family proud and he takes losses a lot harder than most hockey players do.
You were Macklin’s older sister. You had moved out to San Jose with him once he was drafted because you had gotten a job offer, and you had decided to help Macklin through his career. Within this past year, you have grown close with Will because of them two always spending so much time together. You were both of their safe spaces.
Tonight’s game was a rough one. The Sharks had played the Oilers and lost 5-4 in overtime. Macklin played his best, you knew that, the team knew that, but you also knew that he would be pissed once he came out of the locker room.
He walked out of the locker room, damp hair from the showers dripping onto a black shirt. He had changed from his game day suit to a black shirt and sweatpants. He had that small downturn of his lips that showed how much the loss had affected him, even if he didn’t want to show it yet. Mack’s pretty pissed. He muttered, coming to stand next to you without saying anything else.
Macklin walks out with his head down, wearing a hoodie and shorts. His shoulders were in a tight, rigid line, and his jaw was clenched. You could tell he was upset. He walked past you and Will, heading straight to the exit.
You and Will followed him out, being his ride and all. You knew they both were upset, even if Will wasn’t showing it like how Macklin was. You climbed into the driver’s seat, letting them load their bags into the car before you started the engine and began the drive back to your apartment.
