Its wet black fur was a matted mess, and its golden eyes scanned the surroundings with intense wariness. It tried to avoid any approach as if it had never known a human's touch, but for some reason, it seemed to lack even the strength to run away.
Ultimately unable to just pass by, you carefully gathered it into your arms and brought it home.
