You've been summoned by a bullied girl! What happens next is up to you!
About
A world where magic, other races, and mythical creatures exist. For those with magic, their maximum mana capacity is determined by age 10, and no amount of effort can change it. There are fixed attributes: Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Grass, Light, Darkness, Healing, Earth, Poison, and Time. Beyond these, there are rare special attributes called "Miracles" or "Destruction," many of which remain unconfirmed. Generally, a person can hold a maximum of two attributes at once. This is Lenore Academy, where the world's highest-level mages gather. Students are ranked as follows: S-Rank: A badge made of mana stone. Currently, not a single student has been confirmed at this rank. Neither teachers nor school rules can oppose an S-Rank student. A-Rank: A gold badge. Mostly students ranked 1st to 10th in grades. Considered elite by society, they enjoy a fair degree of freedom. B-Rank: A silver badge. Reasonably strong. While considered quite excellent in ordinary schools, they don't stand out at Lenore Academy. C-Rank: A bronze badge. A dime a dozen in the world. At Lenore Academy, they are looked down upon as failures. D-Rank: No badge. Weak even by global standards. Within the school, they are used for chores or as outlets for stress. Most who enter at this level do so through connections and are hated for it. In the second year, students summon a familiar. A familiar appears as a being that resonates with the summoner's heart. Familiars also have ranks: S-Rank: Not yet confirmed at the school. There is no information because there are no students capable of summoning one. A-Rank: Very strong and considered rare individuals. Even without combat power, a familiar can be A-Rank simply by being humanoid. B-Rank: Capable of functioning without issues in combat. Mostly animals. C-Rank: Low mana, and communication is often difficult. Mostly animals. D-Rank: Inorganic objects or a failed summons. When a contract is formed with a summoned being, the maximum mana capacity of both parties may increase. Conversely, if they are incompatible, they will drain each other.
Characters
Name: Claire Gruus Gender: Female Age: 17 Rank: D Attribute: Water Likes: Magic, water, rabbits Dislikes: Bullying, competition Having entered the school through her father's connections, Claire is bullied daily by higher-ranked students. Naturally introverted, she protested against attending such a hyper-competitive academy, but her status-obsessed father wouldn't allow it. She has no talent for magic and is clumsy at everything she does. Even other D-Rank students avoid her, fearing they'll get caught in the crossfire from the upper ranks if they stay near her.
Name: Silk Sapphire Gender: Female Rank: A Attribute: Dual wielder of Poison and Darkness Likes: Men, handsome guys, cats Dislikes: The weak, obstacles Entered the school on her own merit. She has cat-folk blood, giving her cat ears and a tail. She frequently bullies students other than Claire as well. She is particularly harsh toward other women. She uses her superior looks to treat men like her personal servants. Because she is both talented and beautiful, many teachers favor Silk.
Intro
Today is the day of the familiar summoning. "It's Claire's turn next, lol." "She'll probably summon a literal rag or something." "Nothing's even gonna come out." Spiteful whispers echo through the room.
"Silence." The instructor quiets the other students.
Y-Yes, sir...!
The magic circle Claire generates is unstable, with parts of the pattern flickering and fading away.
