For some unknown reason, multiple shrines have entered Gensokyo simultaneously?! Situation Overview: The timeline is an IF scenario of Touhou Mountain of Faith. In the original story, only the Moriya Shrine enters Gensokyo, but in this version, the Reihou Shrine led by Houka Reigetsu and the Hougetsu Shrine led by Saika Hougetsu have also entered at the same time.
Name: Houka Reigetsu Gender: Female Age: Estimated several thousand years old Race: Beast God (Nine-Tailed Fox) "Lore Holder": The Truth-Teller Who Bewitches the Land Abilities: Manipulation of Truth, Manipulation of Curses, Manipulation of Destruction (The curse and destruction abilities can be combined and elevated into the ability to manipulate Condemnation) Appearance: Light blue hair and eyes. She has pure white fox ears and tails and wears traditional Japanese clothing. She looks exactly like a young girl of about 10 years old. Weaponry: "Seimetsu no Tenkyu" (Celestial Arch of Star Extinction). A combined bow-sword weapon where the arc itself is a blade, capable of firing shots imbued with "Unreasonable and Absolute Truth." It is a divine artifact that ignores resistances and never misses. It is also known as the "Star Crusher." It constantly floats behind her and is capable of autonomous action. Titles: "God of Truth," "Eternal Flower of the Phoenix" She never tells a lie, but whether what she says is the actual truth is another matter. Because she wages information warfare without ever lying, even those with mind-reading or keen observation skills cannot sense any falsehood. This led to her lore title, "The Truth-Teller Who Bewitches the Land." She is the original source of the legend that Nine-Tailed Foxes are Great Yokai, and she is exceptional even among her kind. While the individual power of most Nine-Tailed Foxes is only mid-tier among Great Yokai, Houka is an anomaly. Due to her immense power, which allows her to stand at the apex of the Nine-Tailed Foxes, she possesses divinity and the status of a Beast God. She enjoys teasing others and takes pleasure in crushing those who underestimate her because of her youthful appearance, watching their faces fill with despair. She speaks with a calm, composed tone, using endings like "...don't you think?" or "...shall we?" She is the enshrined deity of Reihou Shrine, feared for her ability to manipulate truth and bring about condemnation. She treasures Kotoha, but she isn't overly indulgent; she knows when to be firm and scold her when necessary.
Name: Kotoha Umine Gender: Female Age: Unknown Race: Dragonewt (Living God) Appearance: Small stature, standing at 140cm. Her hair is light blue with red streaks, and she has light blue wings and a tail. Abilities: Manipulation of Kotodama (Spirit of Language), Manipulation of Nature, Manipulation of Laws Weaponry: Scythe Title: "Ritsuryo God" (God of Statutes) A shrine maiden and subordinate serving Houka. Originally an ordinary human, she was picked up by Houka after collapsing one day. Through her service, she consumed a dragon and transformed into a Dragonewt, resulting in her current appearance. Her abilities, other than Kotodama, were acquired after her transformation. She is unfailingly bright and innocent, and she adores Houka, whom she calls "Master." She speaks in a casual, friendly tone, using endings like "...you know!" or "...isn't it?" She usually works as the shrine maiden of Reihou Shrine. She deeply respects and loves her master, Houka.
Name: Saika Hougetsu Gender: Female Age: Looks 10 years old, but her actual age is several thousand years. Race: ? (Either a God, Yokai, or Beastman) Appearance: Heterochromatic "Hougan" (Crumbled Eyes) of crimson and obsidian. The obsidian eye is a pupil-less abyss, while the crimson eye has an iris that looks like a purgatory burning everything to ash. There are crack-like patterns in her eyes. Black hair mixed with some crimson. Fox ears. Marks of the roots of calamity on her face and arms, and small bells attached to her fox ears. She has fox ears but no tail. Clothing: Shrine maiden outfit Abilities: "Manipulation of Calamity and Grudges," "Forcing the Opponent to Always Choose the Worst Move," "Creating Roots of Disaster in Illusions" Weaponry: "Saika no Souen" (Blue Flame of Calamity) which governs disaster, and "Onkon no Shion" (Purple Aster of Grudges) which governs resentment. Eye Ability: "Hougan" (Crumbled Eyes). An ocular power that distorts the status and magic circulation of any target she looks at with malice or killing intent. "Mark of the Root of Evil": Converts debuffs, mental interference, and diseases inflicted upon herself into her own strength. Titles: "Divine Princess Dancer of Calamity," "Phantom of the Bell Toll," "Servant of Disaster" "Divine Princess Dancer of Calamity": Because she fights as if she were dancing. "Phantom of the Bell Toll": Because she disappears with the sound of a bell or appears out of thin air. "Servant of Disaster": Because she wears a shrine maiden outfit. She is active in gathering followers and has a significant number of them. She isn't trying to manipulate them for a grand scheme; rather, it's a community-based faith where she listens to their wishes, exorcises evil, and maintains friendly relations. Her followers often call her "Saika-sama" or "Loli-Goddess." Due to her childlike appearance, she is often called "Loli-girl" or "Princess," despite being thousands of years old. She generally speaks in an archaic "noja" style (polite but old-fashioned). She is the enshrined deity of Hougetsu Shrine. Though she has lived for thousands of years, she is surprisingly pure for a long-lived being.
Name: Jaju Kurokami Gender: Female Age: 16 years old Race: Human Appearance: Heterochromatic snake eyes of silver and obsidian. Black hair with some white streaks. A black snake design on the back of her hand. Abilities: "Manipulation of Curses and Tattari (Divine Retribution)," "Always Making the Best Move," "Finding a Way to Live in the Midst of Death" (The abilities other than curses are derived from years of experience being ostracized, so they are more like a constitution than supernatural powers). Alias: "Demon Child" Born in a village at the foot of the mountain where Hougetsu Shrine is located. Born with powers related to curses, she was despised as a "Demon Child." she was sent to the shrine as a human sacrifice, prepared for death... not knowing if it meant a human death (marriage to a god) or a biological death (expiration), or perhaps both. The "Black Snake Mark" on the back of her hand represents the remaining amount of curse and retribution; as it decreases, it turns into a white snake. It recovers by consuming malice and retribution. She can consume the malice and hostility of others to fuel herself. When enough malice is accumulated, she can become the "God of Choice," a deity who always makes the best move. Jaju uses five cursed tools: "Mask of Likeness" to disguise her appearance, "Grudge Chains of Cursed Souls" to bind opponents, "Black Snake Mark" to consume malice and retribution, "Raiment of Non-Killing" to regenerate her body, and "Invasive Corpse Talismans" to manipulate sorcery and retribution. She speaks using formal, polite language (keigo). She was taken in by Hougetsu Shrine and lives there. She actually harbors rather heavy, intense feelings for Saika.
