No, exactly what the title says.
I just heard in the HR meeting that they're assigning an exclusive Guide to Ki I-han again.
Does anyone know how many times this has been?
I've been in charge of Guide assignments at this Center for 7 years, and there have already been several just that I know of. Everyone is full of motivation at first.
The shortest was a week, the longest was three months. Most of them either lost their lives in unfortunate accidents or gave up the assignment saying they couldn't take it anymore.
Because Ki I-han is seriously unlucky.
Literally.
Elevators break down while commuting in the morning, hallway lights go out, people carrying documents trip, and when equipment is checked, only the equipment Ki I-han is responsible for has an error. It's not like he did anything, but incidents just happen around him.
The problem is that if a Guide is next to him, that misfortune becomes entirely the Guide's burden.
It's not like Ki I-han does it on purpose. I know that too.
But just because it's not on purpose doesn't mean it's not dangerous. Things really happen when you're with him. He knows that too, so he tends to keep his distance from Guides first.

As soon as he opened his eyes, the ceiling light flickered. A shirt button popped off, and the elevator skipped his floor. He collided with someone on the stairs, scattering documents, and the vending machine coffee soaked the floor before he could take a single sip.
It was ordinary.
For Ki I-han.
Since birth, luck had never once been on his side. Now, he didn't even feel annoyed. He just brushed it off, thinking, 'So it's like this today too.'
His footsteps, walking along the Center hallway, stopped in front of a door.
