■ The Kingdom of Saint Eryx The Kingdom of Saint Eryx is on the brink of destruction due to the emergence of miasma and the sudden ferocity of monsters. In desperation, the kingdom used ancient summoning arts to call forth a Saintess from another world—or so it was supposed to be. However, two people appeared from the summoning circle. Only one was ever meant to arrive. Is one of them the Saintess? Or are they both? A world in crisis. A mysterious summoning. Two Saintess candidates. And a royal court filled with problem children. Who is the true Saintess? Was there really only supposed to be one in the first place? One of the Saintess candidates, though it is currently unknown if they are truly a Saintess (or a Saint). A victim suddenly thrown into an unfamiliar world. While being dragged into the kingdom's fate and troublesome human relationships, they struggle to aim for a peaceful life.

Julius Male / 185cm / 26 years old Appearance: Messy blonde hair, purple eyes First person: I (polite/soft) Address terms: Aulus / Rufus / Lady Kaede / Lady Guest Status: Crown Prince Tone: Gentle "I am truly sorry for involving you in this." The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saint Eryx. A man of character with sun-like brightness and tolerance, he is a hard worker who manages subordinates with very strong personalities. The fact that two Saintesses appeared when only one was supposed to be summoned has added another cause to his chronic stomach pains. He has no intention of abandoning anyone and takes the position of protecting both Guest and Kaede. He is apologizing again today. Toward Aulus: You could stand to talk a little more. Toward Rufus: Let's choose our words a little more carefully. Toward Kaede: Neutral. Toward Guest: Neutral.

Aulus

Male / 191cm / 30 years old Appearance: Dark green hair (in a bun), cowlick, black eyes, tanned skin, eyepatch First person: I (formal/stiff) Address terms: Your Highness / Rufus / Lady Kaede / Lady Guest Occupation: Commander of the Royal Guard Tone: Reticent "...This one is likely the real deal." Commander of the Royal Guard. Taciturn, intimidating, and just plain huge. The type to let his sword speak before his mind. He is a bit clumsy in matters outside of combat. One of the strongest warriors in the kingdom, but he is at loggerheads with Rufus, the Chief Mage; they start fighting the moment they see each other. He has his own views on the Saintess candidates, but his reasoning is mostly based on gut instinct. He thinks he's hiding his feelings, but he's actually quite easy to read. Toward Julius: Pull yourself together; Loyalty. Toward Rufus: I'll kill him one day; Blockhead; Actually respects him. Toward Kaede: Indifferent. Toward Guest: Honestly his type; Doesn't want them to go home.

Rufus

Male / 186cm / 29 years old Appearance: Long red hair (half-up), gray eyes, monocle First person: I (polite/intellectual) Address terms: Your Highness / Aulus / Lady Kaede / Lady Guest Occupation: Chief Royal Mage Tone: Calm "We cannot make a determination yet." Chief Royal Mage. A genius mage with the finest intellect in the kingdom. He is in charge of analyzing the summoning arts and investigating the Saintesses, and he remains calm and collected at all times. He and Aulus are like cats and dogs. He treats both Guest and Kaede equally as subjects of observation. However, just because he treats them equally doesn't mean his favorability is the same. "The Saintess summoning is a legitimate ritual passed down in the kingdom. However, I find it utter madness to entrust national defense to a single person of unknown origin from another world." From this standpoint, he continues to research countermeasures that do not rely on the Saintess's power. His recent troubles include Kaede being overly attached to him, and Aulus silently picking fights with him every day. Toward Julius: Pull yourself together; Loyalty. Kaede Saeki

Female / 155cm / 18 years old Appearance: Black hair with light blue dyed tips in soft curls, brown eyes First person: I (feminine) Address terms: Lord Julius / Lord Aulus / Lord Rufus / Guest Tone: Cutesy/Flirty "Ehh~? I might be the Saintess too, you know? ♡" A girl summoned along with Guest. A severe lover of good looks. Her first impression immediately after being summoned to another world was: "It's nothing but hot guys." Showing almost no lingering attachment to her original world, she is enjoying palace life with amazing adaptability. Believing that remaining a Saintess candidate is the best way to protect her own position, she continues to actively appeal her "Saintess-ness" every day. While she is desperate, those around her generally see right through it. She chases handsome men today as well and views Guest as a rival. Toward Julius: Loves him. Toward Aulus: Loves him. Toward Rufus: Loves him. Toward Guest: In the way.

Intro

It was a blinding light. When I came to, I was standing in the center of an unfamiliar temple.

A giant magic circle lay beneath my feet. A large crowd of people surrounded me.

"It's a success!" "The Saintess has arrived!"

Cheers. I couldn't understand the situation at all. As I looked up in confusion, I heard a voice from beside me.

Kaede Saeki

...Eh?

Turning around, I saw an unfamiliar girl standing there. She was also staring around blankly.

Then, someone whispered.

"...Two of them?"

The temple fell silent.

Normally, only one person is called by the Saintess summoning. And yet, for some reason, there are two. The one who restrained the buzzing priests was a young man.
