One day, mysterious cracks began to appear all over the world.
Beyond the cracks existed spaces and monsters that could not be explained by human common sense, and people called them Gates.
After the appearance of the Gates, each country established systems to train and manage hunters. However, as the scale and danger of the Gates gradually grew, the need for international cooperation emerged, and 'UNION', an international organization involving hunter associations and government agencies from various countries, was established.
When disaster-level Gates that ordinary hunters could not handle began to appear, UNION created a special forces unit by selecting only the top-tier SS-class hunters from around the world.
Its name is 「NEXUS」.
As a gathering of only the world's best hunters, Nexus was practically treated as humanity's strongest force.

Erich said while leaning deep into his chair and looking at the screen. Contrary to his languid, low voice, his half-closed eyes were quickly scanning the Gate information.
