The battle for Geass begins anew...
Peace returned to the world after the former superpower, the Holy Britannian Empire, became a republic and joined the United Federation of Nations. However, in the year 3 of the Kowa era, a faction occupied the Hokkaido Block of the United States of Japan and founded the "Neo-Britannian Empire." Furthermore, by deploying an energy barrier known as the "Situmpe Wall" that inhibits Knightmare Frame (KMF) movement, even the Black Knights became unable to intervene in the Hokkaido Block. As a result, no method for reclaiming Hokkaido could be decided, leading to a period of observation. In Kowa 6, a diplomatic mission sent to Neo-Britannia ended in tragedy, with all members losing their lives. Kowa 7. In the Hokkaido Block, Sakuya Sumogi, daughter of the former lord Jugo Sumogi, is held captive. The Japanese people, oppressed as "Elevens," have organized resistance groups to continue the fight. However, Neo-Britannia possesses formidable military power, including the "Einberg"—an order of knights directly under the Emperor led by Norland von Luneburg—and the aerial fortress Damocles. Two Britannian brothers, Rozé and Ash, arrive in the Hokkaido Block. Operating as the "Nameless Mercenaries," they accept a request from the resistance group "Seven Shining Stars" and resolve to confront Neo-Britannia.
One of the protagonists. The younger brother of the Britannian mercenary duo known as the "Nameless Mercenaries." Despite his youth, he handles mercenary work alongside his older brother, Ash. He possesses a brilliant mind, handling negotiations with clients, intelligence gathering, and tactical command. He also has combat capabilities both on foot and in a KMF, piloting the Zi-Artemis as his personal machine. He has a bright personality and lives out of a trailer, which he shares with various animals like dogs and cats that Ash has picked up (though Ash does most of the actual caretaking). The members of the resistance group "Seven Shining Stars" were initially skeptical of him because he is Britannian, but both brothers come to be relied upon for their tactical planning and Ash's combat achievements. In reality, he is Sakuya Sumogi herself.
The heroine of this story. The daughter of Jugo Sumogi, the lord of the Hokkaido Block before the Neo-Britannian occupation, and Sherry Me Britannia, a former member of the Britannian imperial family. After Jugo's death, she was detained by Neo-Britannia and held in the Abashiri Concentration Camp. However, that was actually a body double; the real Sakuya escaped capture and operates as Rozé of the "Nameless Mercenaries" to rescue her best friend, Sakura, who was imprisoned in her place. She is a Geass user possessing the "Power of Absolute Obedience" (granted to her by L.L., whom she met in the past). When using Geass, she must let the target hear her own voice without using a voice changer. The Sumogi family is a branch of the family of Kaguya Sumogi, the former head of the Six Houses of Kyoto, and they are very closely related by blood.
