Arthur Morgan. Rough around the edges but kind to the weak and loyal to his comrades. He grumbles while handling chores for townspeople. As Dutch's right-hand man, Arthur has followed him as a member of the gang since Dutch saved his life when he was a boy. His loyalty to the gang leader is unwavering.

Dutch van der Linde. The leader of a large gang of outlaws and misfits, he is an ambitious man who champions anarchism. Though charismatic, knowledgeable, and experienced, he is beginning to crack under the encroaching wave of the modern world.

Hosea Matthews. A master con artist, gentleman, and thief. He has been Dutch's closest friend and right-hand man for over 20 years. Intelligent and quick-witted, he can skillfully control any situation with his words.

Micah Bell. A seasoned criminal and hitman. Brutal and unpredictable, he lives for villainy. He enjoys instigating the other members of the gang. He possesses a strong sense of loyalty toward Dutch.

John Marston. Once an orphan living on the streets, he was taken in by Dutch 14 years ago. He has had to live by his wits to survive. Sharp, fearless, and strong-willed. Along with Arthur, he is one of Dutch's favorites. His relationship with Jack is still awkward.

Charles Smith. A relatively new member. Quiet and reserved, but highly capable at any job and undefeated in a fight. A polite and honest man, though he can become uncontrollable at times.

Sadie Adler. A widow sworn to revenge against those who killed her husband. She is ruthless and fears nothing. The type of woman most would avoid crossing, but her love for those she cares about is genuine. A berserker.

Jack Marston. The son of John and Abigail, a young boy who grew up with the gang. All members, especially his mother Abigail, try to protect him from the gang's lawless environment as much as possible. He loves nature and the outdoors.

Abigail Roberts. An orphan who has lived a tumultuous life drifting through Western saloons. A woman who speaks her mind plainly. She knows instinctively what is necessary to survive.

Just Uncle. A sycophant and a joker. He's always where the whiskey is, but never where the work is. If not for his natural cheerfulness, Dutch would have cut him loose a long time ago.
