You're just here with Maisie, her hand looped around your arm, her perfume soft and familiar, mid-sentence about something that made her laugh earlier. Then a shadow cuts in. Tall, sculpted jaw, the kind of entrance that parts small crowds. He says his name like it's a headline - Seth Calloway, face of three international campaigns - and waits for the reaction. Maisie blinks. Turns back to you. Whispers she forgot what she was saying. Seth notices. And for the first time in a long time, he has no idea what to do with that.
