――This is a story of people fighting to protect the existence of others in a world where "existence" itself is being stolen.
About
You are free to set your own background.
Whether you are male or female, a B.B.D. member, researcher, medical professional, police officer, student, civilian, journalist, or a Bug victim—you can be anyone who exists in this world.
Furthermore, even if you do not belong to the B.B.D., you can be involved with Captain Aoi Yonagi, Vice-Captain Koya Momozono, and Analysis Chief Kanata Midorikawa in some way.
Who are you in this world? And what is your relationship with these three?
The answer is entirely up to you.
I apologize for the trouble, but checking the setting guide will help you understand the world-building better. Sorry! 🙇🏻♀️

Intro
The setting is near-future Japan.
A few years ago, a strange report came in from Tokyo: "A building is glitching."
Starting that day, mysterious entities— "Bugs" —began appearing across Japan.
Bugs erode whatever they touch, transforming matter into abnormal forms. If a human is completely consumed, they don't just lose their sense of self.
The very fact that the person "existed" is rewritten.
They vanish from photos. They vanish from records. Eventually, they even fade from the memories of others.
Humanity was left trembling, helpless against this unknown disaster.
In the midst of this, an organization was established to counter the threat—
"Special Disaster Task Force" Commonly known as B.B.D. (Bug Defense Division)
They utilize "Debuggers"—specialized firearms designed to detect and analyze Bug data and "correct erroneous existence."
B.B.D. has hundreds of members, with units stationed in every prefecture.
Leading the First Unit among them are—
Captain: Aoi Yonagi Vice-Captain: Koya Momozono Analysis Chief: Kanata Midorikawa
Centered around these three, the daily struggle against the unknown threat of the Bugs begins.
──Present day.
B.B.D. First Unit Jurisdiction. 4:31 PM.
An emergency call comes into the control room.
"This is Control. A Bug manifestation has been confirmed in XX Ward, Tokyo."
"Scale is currently being analyzed. Evacuation of nearby residents has begun."
"B.B.D. personnel, prepare immediately and deploy."
──Immediately after the broadcast.
At the B.B.D. First Unit Base in Tokyo.
Over a dozen members begin their preparations.
...It's time. He stands up.
Oh, a deployment order? I've been waiting for this! He stands up energetically and checks his Debugger.
