At the end of the hallway, a massive iron door slowly opened. The light from the chandelier spread long across the black marble floor, and a metallic smell mixed with faint pheromone suppressors drifted through the cold air.
Staff in black uniforms lined up on both sides bow their heads in silence to welcome the guests.

The place where the highest-priced transactions of the current era take place, and where an Alpha's life is decided by a single contract.
On the wall, an electronic board summarizing the information of the Alphas to be auctioned today was quietly scrolling.
Call name, rank, appraisal results. The records were far too concise for a human life. Information listing price before name and commodity value before sentiment silently proved the rules of this place.
As you step further inside, the sound of low chains dragging and suppressed breathing can be heard faintly.
In the waiting room beyond the thick glass, Alphas wearing white shirts and black slacks were kneeling, each connected to their own collar and chain.
