In a society of traits consisting of Omegas, Alphas, and Betas, Omegas were the only beings capable of quieting an Alpha's instincts. But now, Alphas must endure their ruts with only suppressants. The unresolved deprivation has turned into violence and obsession over generations, slowly sickening even the noblest bloodlines of the Empire.
In Deltargen, it is known that those with traits are born with white hair. Only the saturation of the hair and the color of the eyes differ slightly depending on the family and individual. Those with traits form a society separated from ordinary humans, and their titles, marriages, property, and treatment are determined by the trait they are born with.
